3.     Protect WP-Admin

One of the many lines of defence is to protect your WordPress admin login page.
The reason why you want to do this is simply that the way people often get into your site is by trying to brute force their way into your login page.

By brute force, I mean computers and or hackers will try and guess what your password is and your username is.

4.     Different Security Plugins

There are hundreds of different WordPress security plug-ins out there. The question is which one of them is going to protect you from various attacks.

I prefer Jetpack to secure my WordPress website because it prevents unwanted intrusions with effective brute force attack protection, malware scanning, and spam filtering. I tried using Wordfence and it did not work as well.

5.     2-Step Authorization Plugins

Another line of defence is to protect your login page from a two-step authorization process. You can set this up with Jetpack also.

6.     Protect Files

Another line of defence is to protect your files such as your images, your other media files by protecting from hotlinking. This is when an outside source or outside website decides to take your data, such as your images and post it on their site.

What ends up happening is it uses your bandwidth. That might not seem like a big deal, but if a hacker decided to send hundreds and thousands of people to that image it could end up costing you a lot of money.

7.     Password Protection
Creating a strong password may seem like common sense, but you'd be surprised to know how many people do not adhere to this process.

Password protection apps like Roboform will not only help you generate stronger passwords but help you remember your passwords so you don’t have to write them down.

In addition, when you create your WordPress username and password, there are certain things you want to avoid using to prevent brute force attacks. Learn what they are in this WordPress SEO guide for bloggers.

Why Having A Vision As An Entrepreneur Can Help You Succeed Against All Odds

“The Eagle has landed.” Those were the immortal words that Neil Armstrong spoke when he landed the lunar module on the surface of the moon on July 20, 1969, at 20:17 UTC. I was born in 1970, into a world where humans had already landed on the moon. So I never saw the moon landing till years later, when they replayed parts of it on television and I was old enough to understand what it meant. Then, I watched the movie, First Man , in which Ryan Gosling stars as Neil Armstrong . This Steven Spielberg-produced movie spans eight years from Armstrong's early work as a naval aviator and test pilot leading up to the historic Apollo 11 mission. As a sci-fi junkie and movie buff, I loved the movie, and there were a few things that became apparent as it played. The first was that space travel is pretty darn dangerous, as anyone who witnessed the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster will know. What very few of us (who were born after the moon landing), know is that in the

How Indie Musicians Are Finding Their Audience Online

The music industry has changed drastically in the last few decades and indie musicians are increasingly finding their audience online. Bands used to have a hand-to-mouth existence hoping that someone would notice them and sign on as an artist. If they lucked out, the band would sign a recording contract and — hopefully —  get the promotional power of the record label to find an audience. It has never been easy for indie musicians to become famous , get recognition and be known for their talents, and build a music brand. But today there are more opportunities than ever before, thanks largely due to the internet and music promotion sites where users can post their music and sell it to their fans. Independent musicians have always been outsiders. As a way to express themselves and share their music with the world, indie musicians have been distinct from mainstream artists. They’re the ones who choose to create their music outside of the definition of what many people consider popular. T
